Published on the occasion of Ingel Vaikla’s first solo exhibition “You Have Become the Space” (curated by Laura Toots) at the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM), 17.11.–16.12.2018. The exhibition presents two new spatial video works and derives from the idea that architecture and the human body may be integral to one another – architecture is changed by and dependent upon its user, while that user must adapt to the architectural environment.
The publication includes stills from the video works as well as texts by Angelique Campens, Chiara Guidi, Laura Toots, and an interview with Caroline Voet conducted by Laura Linsi and Roland Reemaa. The Publication is designed by Ott Metusala. The edition of the publication comprises volumes in English and in Estonian, yet each publication is bilingual – one language is hidden between the folded pages of the respective volume.
