Swiss House atrium / Tallinn

The Swiss House with its high atrium is an organic part of Roosikrantsi Street which was built as one of the first office buildings in the beginning of nineties in the downtown. Vaikla Studio reorganized the floorplan and updated the interior with the element such as white rib facade – which was inspired by the windows and shutters of historical Swiss architecture. A lot of light and better acoustic gives now spatial value to the modernized public space where one could still find the original details, example green marble floor etc.

The interior was nominated to the Annual Award Contest of Estonian Association of Interior Architecture in 2013 and won the price of favourite public space by the audience.
