Ann Mirjam Vaikla is a scenographer and theatre artist from Estonia. From October 1st 2017, she is the new director of Narva Art Residency. In 2016/17 she did her curatorial internship at the Storefront for Art and Architecture gallery in New York and collaborated with Byrd Hoffman Watermill Center Foundation and Ryan Frank Artist Studio at the Invisible Dog. Being interested in coherence of everyday life and artificiality in the context of performance art and architecture she has been expressing her investigations among several of her independent and educational projects. She has participated Watermill Center International Program at Long Island, New York (2015 and 2016) and has worked at the Kanuti Gildi SAAL in Tallinn, Folkoperan in Stockholm, Antonin Artaud Center in London, Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology in Oslo. She graduated her studies in scenography at the Norwegian Theatre Academy / Østfold University College in 2015.
